Dear Reader,
Greetings. Hope you are finding silence and warmth in these chaotic times. I'm writing to you to share a new series of events we are doing on Poetly - 'aranya: conversations about creation'. Aranya celebrates the creative spirit, the impulse for wonder and magic in the everyday. It is a series of conversations that endeavours to open translucent windows into the soul of creation, of introducing something new, something beautiful into the world. Each episode will put a spotlight on an artist, whose forays into a singular domain of practice have, in time, left a trail of light and beauty. We seek to court wonder, and refract play, and connect with the heart of what it means to create something. For our first episode I'm delighted to introduce the artist, Dhwani Shah:
"The Sound of the hand moving across paper | A dialogue about visual narratives with artist Dhwani Shah" (scroll down for poster)
Dhwani is an illustrator and graphic designer from Mumbai. She studied design from Sir J.J. School of Applied Art, Mumbai and National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. She enjoys working on editorial illustrations, non fiction comics and publication design projects.Good books, conversations and food keep her going.
