This ghazal was written and shared with me a fortnight ago. Written in anger, and the urgency of eyes that have known the language of dream, I share this today, not to exhibist craft or to marvel at metaphor. The anger that I felt on hearing Amit Shah dismissing Shaheen Bagh in his rally yesterday - a place of resistance that is at the centre of the movement against the current ruthless regime, is mirrored in this poem.
